Tenacious Teaching is a classroom diagnostic system designed to help novice teachers grow and veteran teachers extend themselves.

It contains five components to help this process:

1. The goal of authentically raising the level of all students using multiple measurements while closing the gap between the lowest and highest.
2. A framework for understanding the wide range of classroom behaviors students exhibit, The Eight Attributes of Student Success. 
3. A measurement tool to help teachers evaluate their own effectiveness, The Formula for Powerful Teaching.
4. A specific criterion for measuring the progress of disadvantaged students, The Equity Inequality.
5. A methodology for teachers to analyze their own classroom practice and discuss strategies with their colleagues without judgment, The Ten Tiers of Tenacious Teaching.
